Rottnest Island Fuel Jetty
TAMS Group were awarded the design and construction contract of the new Fuel Jetty at Rottnest Island which included the demolition and removal of the existing structure.
TAMS provided an alternative solution which consisted of mild steel headstocks with stainless steel stringers spanning between them. This proposal provided a low maintenance robust alternative to the clients original concept of an all FRP structure.
TAMS 129 barge equipped with a 90T crawler crane was used to demolish the existing redundant structure, drive the new steel piles utilsing a hydraulic vibrator and install the new stainless steel deck modules and other ancillary items.
The scope of works also included the installation of new services consisting of fuel, electrical, fire and potable water
