The Base is strategically located in close proximity to the Pilbara Port Authority and close to several large-scale minerals marine export facilities.
This multi-user facility serves as a shore base for project mobilisation and support, crew changes and logistics, vessel maintenance support (internal and external) and vessel mooring capacity.
Port Hedland is a key strategic location to be able to operate from and its capabilities assists TAMS, and our clients, in minimising project and vessel mobilisation costs.

TAMS Group has many years’ experience operating from Port Hedland and some of our previous projects include:
BHP P118 Structural Upgrade – The upgrade of Nelson Point A & B berth conveyor systems and installation of 54 steel piles fabrication of 300t of structural steel.
FMG T155 Sheet Pile Wall Installation – The installation of 125 interlocking piles in South West Creek to form a retaining wall to allow dredging to commence.
Main Street service Jetty construction – Installation of four floating pontoons for accessing vessels over the entire Port Hedland tidal range
